HYPNOSIS
WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
Hypnosis has been used since about 3,000 BC. Egyptians, Mayans, Greeks, African sorcerers, Persian sages and Chinese religious sages have used hypnosis as a treatment since that time.
Being in hypnosis is being in as much relaxation as you can get without falling asleep. We all go into hypnosis involuntarily every single day when we lie on the pillow, just before we fall asleep. It's not the only time we go into hypnosis involuntarily because it also happens when we get so involved in a show or movie we're watching that our emotions flare up, when we're driving and "fall out" like that that we forget the turn or when we forget ourselves while listening to music that reaches us well.
Hypnosis works with your subconscious mind.
The myth of hypnosis is unfortunately still vivid in the minds of most people, but fortunately it is just as false as it is vivid. It is important that you know that when you are in a hypnotic state you do not lose control of who you are and you always have your reasoning. The feeling is usually described as people not feeling like they are in hypnosis because they think they should experience something supernatural, but all they experience is great relaxation and well-being. Therefore, it is best to save all such speculations and thoughts until later and focus only on listening and using your imagination. All hypnosis is actually self-hypnosis because you are the one using your imagination, as you listen to the hypnotist, to bring yourself into hypnosis. It is not possible to hypnotize those who do not want to be hypnotized. It is also important to note that you can bring yourself out of hypnosis if you want to.
WHAT IS CONSCIOUS AND SUBCONSCIOUS?
Research done on the brain shows different brain waves when looking at our level of consciousness. In this way, differences between the waves can be seen at the level of wakefulness, relaxation, dream level and sleep.
We experience our consciousness while awake, but there we are aware, with reasoning, willpower and can easily make decisions. The relaxation stage is the realm of hypnosis and at this stage of awareness the conscious and subconscious meet.
The subconscious mind is a kind of "little/little you", "your core" or simply "your soul". We have had her in all our lives and she remembers everything we experience, experience and perceive. It is usually impossible for most people to change habits or customs permanently with willpower (consciousness) alone. It is simply because the subconscious mind has much more power over us than the conscious mind.
Being in a hypnotic state means being in a deep and good state of relaxation, the subconscious mind wakes up and can be worked with to change unwanted habits or customs.
